Life is like a rollercoaster, some person much wiser than Alec Feldman once said. This is never more true than when something good happens to you, and immediately afterwards, is cancelled out by something bad. Balance in the universe is restored.

This happened to Alec last week: due to a mix up at a restaurant, he was given AN ENTIRE extra pizza – for free! He was delighted about this… until about half an hour later, when he discovered a tub of hummus had exploded in his bag and gone everywhere. This somewhat dampened his joy at the free pizza.
