When Alec Feldman heard the latest song by The 1975 was called “The Birthday Party”, the first thing that came to mind was a children’s book.

A song that, judging by the name, would be more at home on the Cbeebies bedtime story than a gig for a cool indie band.

So naturally, Alec had to have a go at writing the story. What follows might just be the weirdest fanfic ever.
