Welcome back to Don't Alert The Stans!
For this week’s episode, Sope starts with a #RespectingLegends tribute to 70s soul singer Betty Wright, who sadly passed away from cancer at the age of 66.
Is it fair to call Kehlani a pop artist? A debate between Eden and Sope ensues as they review her new album "It Was Good Until It Wasn’t".
Kicking off the news agenda this week is Afro Nation who at last released an official statement confirming that consumers will not be able to get a refund for the event that was set to take place this year in Portugal.
Good news is in the air for Doja Cat. The remix of ‘Say So’ topped the Billboard Hot 100 last week, becoming both Doja Cat and Nicki Minaj’s first #1 single. Unfortunately, this milestone comes attached to controversy as Nic rightly points out that the song was produced by the disgraced Dr Luke.
Rounding out the episode this week is Erykah Badu and Jill Scott, who came together for the best edition of the #VERZUS battle to date. Revelling in the power of black women and the majesty of the neo-soul genre.
