The jihadi bride, Shamima Begum, is begging to return to the UK.

She and two friends from Bethnal Green in east London left home in 2015 to join the Islamic State group, who at that point were at the height of their power in Iraq and Syria. The trio were picked up by smugglers working for ISIS and were married off to foreign fighters.

One of the other girls Shamima travelled with is dead, killed by a Russian airstrike. The other is missing. And until last week, 19-year old Shamima's whereabouts were also unknown, but she was miraculously found by a journalist from The Times in a crowded refugee camp in north-east Syria.

In an extraordinary interview, she disclosed that two of her children had died of malnutrition. She was, at the time, nine months pregnant with her third child. It has since transpired that she has given birth to it. Her family want her and the baby to be allowed back into the UK.

Shamima told the media that a lot of people should have sympathy for her. But despite this plea, and a message of compassion from listener Tamzin, Benji Hyer was having none of it.

Broadcasted exclusively worldwide on W!ZARD Radio Station.
