Anna Soubry MP

Anna Soubry is one of the most outspoken and eloquent MPs when it comes to the defining issue of our time: Brexit.

As a frank opponent of Brexit, she doesn’t shy away from expressing her view that Britain should have voted to Remain.

Following the referendum's outcome, she criticised former Mayor of London and current Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson, who led the Leave campaign, accusing him of supporting Britain’s exit from the EU because he wanted to be Prime Minister. She said that “my anger with Boris is that I don't honestly believe that he believed what he was saying to people”.

Soubry feels that the Cabinet should not oversee the Brexit process without strong scrutiny from the rest of Parliament, and she strives to “put the British people back in charge of leaving the EU” in an article with Labour’s Chukka Ummuna, advocating a revolutionary cross-party approach. To ensure this Parliamentary oversight, she was one of 11 Tory rebels to vote against the government in December 2017, undermining the Prime Minister, but ensuring a meaningful vote of the terms of the final Brexit deal struck with Brussels.

Anna Soubry joined Benji Hyer on One-To-One with Benji Hyer, on Thursdays on W!ZARD Radio Station, for a no-nonsense interview about Brexit, the future of the Conservatives, the fate of Theresa May, Jeremy Corbyn and the Labour party, and lastly: Donald Trump.

Broadcasted exclusively worldwide on W!ZARD Radio Station.
