BJ The Chicago Kid

The city of Chicago is known for some amazing artists, Chance The Rapper and Kanye West to name a few, but one man who carries the city on his back his BJ The Chicago Kid.

Even if you've never heard the name before, you've heard the voice. He's been on songs by some of the greatest artists of our era - punctuating tracks by Dr. Dre, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, Kehlani and ScHoolboy Q’s Grammy Award-nominated smash “Studio”.

The R&B/Soul singer dropped his Sophomore album "1123" at the end of July following up from his debut album "In My Mind" in 2016, which went on become GRAMMY nominated in it's own right.

With remarkable features like Offset, Rick Ross, Anderson .Paak and JID, "1123" shows the evolution of BJ the Chicago Kid’s sound but also displays why he has also been the face of soul with "Time Today" the standout soulful track on the album.

BJ the Chicago Kid sat down with Myles McCaulskey to talk about the significance of "1123", the development of his sound and being respected as a GRAMMY nominated artist.

Broadcasted exclusively worldwide on W!ZARD Radio Station.
