Brother Sports are the five piece band from Austin, Texas with no background in music who are set to be the "next big thing" in the indie scene.

Getting their start producing home recordings of songs and slowly releasing them online, the band (now made up of members Anthony, Ishaq, Cobi, Robert and Gil) actually started by accident - with Anthony and Ishaq making demos in an empty living room and turning the two-piece into a five-piece over the coming years.

Coming from completely different backgrounds and inspirations, they meet in the middle with their sound and don’t worry about fitting in to a “predominately all white indie scene”. Instead they use this to their advantage and bring something truly special to the indie with their Spanish lyrical content.

After being noticed by Spotify and supporting Inner Wave and Beach Fossils in December 2019, they have so much more to come in 2020. Their latest single (“I Still Remember”) came out last November and takes psychedelic pop vibes to the next level.

Rhiannon Nevada got on the phone with Anthony and Ishaq from Brother Sports to talk career highlights, growing the band and what's coming up next.
