Carly Pearce has taken the country music world by storm with her silky smooth vocals, relatable lyrics and catchy melodies.
Born and raised in Kentucky, Pearce started performing young when she toured as part of a bluegrass band when she was 11 years old, and then moved to Tennessee as a teenager to sing at Dollywood, Dolly Parton’s theme park.
She spent years in Nashville perfecting her craft including sharing a residency at a club with good friend Russell Dickerson, but as she’s said, “sometimes slow and steady wins the race.”
And what a win Carly’s had.
Carly Pearce’s debut single, “Every Little Thing” reached No. 1 on the Country Airplay Chart, has since been gold-certified, and made her become the highest charting solo female debut since July 2015 and one of only three to accomplish this feat in 13 years.
Pearce has been nominated for the New Female Vocalist of the Year ACM award 2 years in a row and won a CMT award last year for Breakthrough Video of the Year for “Every Little Thing”.
[Pearce] shared the poignant story of her Grand Ole Opry debut and the cowboy boots that got her there.
Madeleine Molly sat down with Carly Pearce at Country-2-Country Festival in London where she shared the poignant story of her Grand Ole Opry debut and the cowboy boots, gifted to her by her parents under the promise that if she every played the Opry she would wear them on stage, that got her there.
She’s now played the Opry over 50 times, and now she’s performing all over the world. C2C saw her perform in London, Dublin and Glasgow, before she jetted off to Australia to perform at the CMC Rocks Festival in Australia.
