Laci Kaye Booth

From her small-town roots to the global stage, Laci Kaye Booth is an artist already making her mark on country music.

Having grown up in the literal definition of a small town (her hometown of Livingstone, Texas has a population of 5,000), from an early age Booth started writing what is the basis of all great country music: three chords and the truth.

Tales of intense love and heartbreak, hope and wonder – the ingredients of the songs that ultimately become a part of the tapestry of culture. And whilst her lyricism is impressive and dreamy, it’s her silky vocals that truly take the crown. Upon first listen to the first track on Booth’s debut self-titled album, “Used To You”, it’s impossible to not be swept away and transported to whatever world the artist is opening up for you.

Booth’s one-two punch of incredible lyricism and vocals has been co-signed by country and pop icons including Nathan Chapman (co-producer of Taylor Swift’s first 5 albums), Laura Veltz (Maren Morris, Dan + Shay), Liz Rose (Taylor Swift’s “All Too Well”, Little Big Town) and more.

Much of America may know Laci Kaye Booth from her appearance on American Idol (where, in 2019, she placed in the Top 5). But the rest of the world will come to know, and remember her, for her unforgettable music.

Laci Kaye Booth sat down with Madeleine Molly to talk about her songwriting, new music and being in London.
