On New Years Day 2021, we invited some of our favourite emerging artists from around the world to come on-air, sing a bit, chat a bit to help kick off the New Year. It was: LIVE FROM HOME.

When you first listen to somegirlnamedanna’s most popular single, “seriously, just stop”, you would be foolish to mistake her for a genre-breaking pop artist with one of the catchiest songs of 2020 (it really is THAT catchy!).

Anna is much more than that.

A true pop fangirl, Anna’s ambition is to turn real life into real, meaningful pop in a way that only a few artists (herself included) are able to successfully achieve. Collaborating with Nashville songwriters such as Laura Veltz and Jordan Schmidt, she’s able to reach a depth in her pop music which most other artists would be envious of.

somegirlnamedanna called into LIVE FROM HOME to talk about her EP “twenty one, twenty two”, introducing herself through pop music and moving to California.
