According to the NSPCC, over 1 in 3 ChildLine counselling sessions in 2016/17 related to mental health issues – and we don’t need statistics to tell us that we are increasingly wrestling with a range of problems including depression, self-harm and suicidal feelings.


In fact, we can quite confidently say that mental health problems touch everyone in some way.


Anyone can be affected by mental health issues, no matter how old they are. Mental health is a bit like physical health. Nobody chooses to have mental health issues. But with the right support you can get better.
