This is New Wave Sounds with Rhiannon Nevada. Every Monday, W!ZARD Radio Station's resident alt/indie expert Rhiannon Nevada drops three upcoming artists she thinks you should be keeping your eyes on. Here's what she thinks you should be listening to this week...
Natsuma
Rhiannon: Natsuma is an upcoming 18-year-old singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. She’s been making tunes ever since she can remember and takes inspiration from a range of genres from The 1975 to Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Wonder. The fact she is coming out with music at such a high standard is madness at such a young age. You have to keep up with her and her journey.
Vanarin
Rhiannon: Vanarin are an Anglo-Italian alt-pop band that formed in Italy. They combine Brit-Pop, RnB and Neo-Soul, which is quite the concoction. They’ve played over 150 gigs in Italy so I’m hoping they will hop over to the UK soon so I can see them live. “Care” is the first single to drop from their upcoming album so lots to look forward to there!
The Great Leslie
Rhiannon: The Great Leslie are a band I discovered through a tonne of message come through in my inbox from fans of theirs requesting for me to play them. I can’t wait to play them on the show. They remind me of Sea Girls in some way. I love their energy and can’t wait for more releases.
