Welcome back to Don't Alert The Stans!

For this week’s episode, the ongoing racial tensions clamouring the world at present, once again trickle into the show’s itinerary. Kicking off this week’s news agenda, is the #BlackOutTuesday movement that took place across the music industry. Eden, Nic & Sope share their concerns around its legitimacy and how it can effectively play a part in the fight for black liberation.

The self-proclaimed ‘Da Baddest BitchTrina was in hot water this past week, when she voiced her disgust at the Miami #BlackLivesMatter protests and riots in support of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor.

Rounding up the news junket this week, is the announcement that Republic Records have decided that they are to completely do away with the racially-coded term ‘urban’ at every facet of the company.
